Youtube Problem

Ive been looking around the forum to see if could find an answer to my problem, but couldnt so thought i ask myself.

Ive just bought my touch everything works fine except Youtube. when the app launches it trys to load and then i get the error message "youtube not available". i dont know why. the Itunes store works fine as does safari so i dont know what im doing wrong.

I registered it like ive seen it mentioned but still nothing, im wondering if its my router?

if any body can shed some light i'd be grateful

This generally happens when you aren't connected to a WiFi zone. Make sure your WiFi is on and you are connected to a zone.

yeah wifi is fine i can use safari and the itunes store fine its just Youtube

I'm having exactly the same problem ..... hopefully a solution will present itself...

I'm thinking this site originally was meant for the iphone and it might be regionalised therefore meaning we might have to wait till nov or until end of this month when ipod touch "officially" launches ...

I'm in UK ... and so are you .... any UK people managed to get in?

yeah im in the UK dont think thats the problem though, i spoke to someone in Glasgow and theirs is working fine so i guess thats not the issue. Just really wish i knew

I'm in Glasgow and Youtube worked for me on my Touch, maybe need to restore the firmware or just turn it off (hold down the standby button) then turn it on again?

Youtube was working from when I got my ipod touch on thursday until friday evening when the 'youtube not available' alert appeared and I haven't been able to connect since.

Same problem for me with YouTube. Worked fine on my iphone until 2 days ago. I can still access my bookmarked pages, but all others result in a 'YouTube not available' message. :confused:

Quick question about the Touch and Youtube. Can you save a youtube video to the touch when you're connected to watch later if you don't have a wifi connection?

Unfortunately, there is no option to store Youtube videos for viewing later. You can only stream the video while you are on Wifi. As soon as you walk away from a hotspot and try to access Youtube it will simply say unable to connect to Youtube.

Anyone check the youtube site? sometimes the do maintenance and bring down some "features" of the site.

I already posted this on another thread, but try connecting your ipod to the computer or laptop and accessing youtube from there. I had the same problem and after I connected it to the computer Youtube worked fine and I didn't have to register with anything like itunes

I haven't been able to watch one clip properly on youtube. Always getting some message or its skipping or something
