I say it's horse####. Maybe with the screen turned completely down and WIFI off.

I've got maybe 4 hours of video, and 15 hours of audio. Still not bad, but I'm going to exchange it anyways because of the screen issue.

You know what is really annoying about the battery life? When iTouch users complain that the thing can't do something that the iPhone can then people instantly defend it by saying "well it's not supposed to be a PDA/phone. It's an iPod dummy". But then here we are using our "iPod" as an iPod and once again it falls short of the iPhone in terms of battery life.

I'm not saying the battery life is bad. I'm just pointing out that this is another instance where the customer suffers because of Apple's obsession with style. Sure it's sexy but who the heck cares how thin it is if you run out of juice before 6PM.

Expect 3-4hrs video and 16-18 audio with brightness on 30%, WiFi off and screen off.

I got 4 and a half hours of video with wifi off and about 3 and a half with it on. I did not test the music, I do not want to leave my iPod on for 22 hours:D

I got 4 hours of music only with a lot of shuffling, and changing tracks, and searching for songs in my playlist.

Then I hit play and shuffle at a full charge, and let it go all the way through and play till it died. That lasted 5.5 - 6 hours.

once again, audio only. 50% brightness, 80% volume
