Sony Ex-81 or Shure e2c?

I've been using the sony's for a while and i've been happy with them. i recently bought a set of shure e2c's but i don't know if i want to switch over. Which set is better? I'm giving whichever ones i don't keep to my friend.

I know this sounds crazy, but why not try them and make up your own mind?!

I've always viewed Sony as a Jack-of-all-Trade company - one that offers a variety of products, but none of them stand out particularly in the market (at the exception of their Discman CD players). Shure has been in the audio business for more than 60 years, and I'm positive that their accumulated years of expertise are reflected in their products.

I know this sounds crazy, but why not try them and make up your own mind?!

QFT (quoted for truth). Definitely try them out yourself - what you hear matters more than what others tell you - unless they are meant to be a present (I understand that open-boxed second-hands/hand-downs are alot less appealing)
