ok ive done this with every ipod ive owned untill i can find a suitable case...
first: buy that blue painters tape...
second: put it on the backing (will not leave residue because it is painters tape)
third: get an ipod sock or some other type of pouch (i use my oakley sunglass case works wonders)
since the ipod touchs screen is made of glass you dont have to worry so much for now as getting a case that covers it the screen...you can even double wrap it for now to keep it padded....
yes it looks tacky..but when you take taht tape off once you get a case it is still scratchless/smugeless
you can even get a $5 microfiber cloth from the camrea store or any other drug store and roll it up in that...so many options untill someone makes a perfect case...
