View Full Version : When there's a firmware update can't you just decline it?

Say Apple releases a new firmware that breaks the nice 3rd party things currently available and working on the iPhone. Can't you just not flash to the new firmware to keep your existing firmware?

Yes you can. iTunes always asks if the user wants to update the iPhone or not. At least at this point.

But it's possible that Apple will include an update which is required in order to use new Music from the iTunes store. This happened recently with an update to their DRM, I believe.

No Update == No New Content from the iTunes Store.

Now, for some people, that's probably not a big deal.
