My wife is interested in getting a new Nano. She currently has a Mini--the old metal ones.

She has an iHome at work, a remote, and a car fm modulator.

Will any of these work with the new Nano? Or does she have to get all new accessories?

How about with an iPod Classic?

Thanks!

My usb car adapter doesnt charge my new nano, my 3rd party charger doesnt charge it, i cant control it in my IM7. I have had to buy an official charger and my IM7 is now annoying as i cant change tracks remotely...

i was in best buy messing around over the weekend and i plugged my 3g nano into literally every iPod speaker they had in the store (iHome, JBL onstage, everything) and in every single one of them the nano charged and played music. so your iHome would be compatible, as for everything else, i cannot help you, i do not know.

How bout the Belkin Tunetalk or the Radio Remote? Those work on the Nano or Classic by any chance?

apple's site has it, I got the kensington fm transmitter charger and it works on the new 3g nano with video... it has the entire fm spectrum and 3 presets... when I got my nano last weekened, the people who worked at apple, none of them could tell me what worked and what didn't so they had ME go over to their computer display go online to apple's website and look it up... I was kinda ticked at that, I mean they should know, it's not like I went into target and asked a clerk there... ugh so anyway, the kensington one works fine I think it was $80 US or something like that.

Yeah its really weird. I can't charge my nano using a generic USB power adaptor, but it works fine with the official one...

Just got the Nano 3G, so far, the IFM by Griffin works, iTrip tuner also works, only problems I've encountered are the Video out, it requires an accessories that has the Apple authentication chip inside for the video out to work properly (another great Apple marketing scheme).

Also, the other problem is if you're looking for a clock radio for your Nano 3g, good luck, as far as I know, most of the clock radios out there do not work properly with the Nano 3G. The audio part of it works but the alarm "Wake on Ipod" feature will not work. Make sure you buy a clock radio that is specifically for the Nano 3G. Kind of defeats the purpose if your wake alarm doesn't work.

If anyone finds one out there that will actually work properly, please let me know. A unit that won't break the bank of course. :)
