I recently bought a 2g nano online (refurbished) not knowing a new generation was coming out  So anyway, now I'm thinking of buying the new nano 4gb. Is it worth getting the new one?
Have you all been happy with it? Any bugs/cons you dislike about it?

Nothing i dislike about the new nano at all I really like it

My previous ipod had died and wasnt ready to fork out for 16g touch so the 8g nano was the best choice for me.

If you already own a relatively new nano it may not be worth the upgrade unless you plan to get the 8gb version and use video, if either of these are true of you then yes upgrade.

Having said that it just being new and small and apple would be enough for me to have to upgrade :)

I *personally* find the 3G rather appalling in appearance and I think the 1G/2G look better.
They look like little tinker toys and the colors? Well I don't think they are as good as previous generations either.

That being said I won't update to a 3G UNLESS I see a 16GB model, its just not worth it. If you need bigger than 4GB like the one you have now, need the new interface update, or need video playback then upgrade..otherwise I don't think its a MUST-HAVE update if you are just using it for audio playback and you have space.

I bought a 3G nano because my husband's mini died (I was accused of podslaugher to generate a reason to upgrade, but I swear I'm innocent.) I passed my 2G nano to him. Both are the red versions.

In terms of looks, I loved the 2G. I found the shape to be sleek and comfortable in my hand; I loved the scratch resistant aluminum case; and the red was stunning. The 3G isn't as elegant in form; the shiny metal back is easily scratched and is always covered with smears and fingerprints; and the red is dull and lifeless.

BUT the screen is sharp, crisp and bright. I'm not gonna watch movies on it, but it opens up the world of video podcasts. The shape is comfortable in the hand. I like the idea I'll be able to load a few new games for odd moments of entertainment. Neither of these things would have had me upgrade without the "need" for a new iPod (honest, I never laid a hand on the mini!); but I do like the 3G, and I'm glad I have it.
