Scratchy screens?

Does the iPod touch's screen scratch easily? Fingers? Pockets? Shirts? Foreign objects? :p
my 5G iPod video has 4 scratches on it, and I've had a hard plastic case on it since I bought it. iPods are so fragile!!

Also, the black thing that comes in the box, is it a slip cover like the 5G iPod videos came with to slip your iPod in and protect it, like a sleeve? Or is it a cleaning cloth?

Screen is glass. Unless you take a knife to it or some kind of sharp metal object, it won't. The back aluminum is more likely to scratch than the front.

Every ipod before the touch has had a plastic screen, plastic scratches a lot easier than glass.
