I was all ready to buy one, but I've decided to hold off. I've been waiting for a product like this for a long time. I can't tell you how badly I wanted to get one. But there have been so many people with the video issue, that it obviously is a real problem. Until Apple acknowledges that they know about the issue and that they have resolved it, I am not buying one. I don't want to play Russian roulette and hope I get a good one. And who knows if it will function correctly down the road? I don't want to deal with the hassle. For $400 (16GB), I don't know why anybody else would get one right now. From what I've read from people talking to Apple salespeople, it seems the hardest part will be to get Apple to actually acknowledge the problem. They obviously know about it by now, but won't admit it. That right there should give everybody pause in buying one right now.

Ur right to wait.

Us in the after-teen bracket knows that anything first genration will have bugs. Some of us knowing this still buy 'coz they feel it's worth the risk to be the first on the block, but the rest of us, always give it a few months and let the smoke clear first.

Plus, spending some time with the forum here may discover something that u didn't know, wasn't aware u need it.
