Anyone have experience dealing with Apple on returning iPodT's with poor screens? Will they give a full refund/exchange without the restocking fee?

I read on another forum that Apple will do an exchange for anyone having the screen issue, no questions asked.

Thanks, I'm reading the negative screen issue on the Apple forums right now...it's really long and scary. Apple seems reluctant to a give a full refund until you argue with them awhile over the defective product. Maybe I should just make an unopened return and buy it from Best Buy?
