Hi all,

I am looking for earphones for around £50

I have previously used the sennheiser PX100's but I am looking for an in-ear earphone (possibly 'canal phone')

I have so far found 2 sets that i'm interested in Senns CX300, a Shure set (Cant remember model but they were £70 from the Apple store) and a Philips set that stated 70% outside noise reduction.

I would like a phone that would not let too much noise in or too muc music out....

any suggestions ?

I am in a similar position.

I already have the CX300 and they can be found for under £20 and i'd say they are good value at this price.

UE metro.fi 2 earphones have got glowing reviews everywhere i've seen and if you're not too bothered about sound isolation they seem to be the ones to go for. They're about £40/£50 i think. Unfortunately i'm looking for their sound quality and really good isolation like the shures apparently offer.

I just bought the shure e2c set from amazon for £30 and am very happy with them:-
*canal earphones
*the see through pair look different in a good way
*they come with a ton of different fitments so you can get the best fit
*They feel very sturdy which is good, the cable seems slightly thicker than normal which could either be a positive or a negative depending on the user.
*it has a 90 degree jack which is on the bulky side (but I like it being more rugged)
*The point at which the left and right ear cable seperate is also larger than average but does not drag or weigh down the cable.

Some of those might seem a bit small or specific but the headphones seem to have received excellent reviews all round but these are the elements the buyer may be unaware of until the item arrives.
