Touch from the UK.

i have ordered a 16gig ipod touch from the apple UK website and is still yet to be shipped.
My question is that will apple do you think have sorted these issues with the black colours on the video?
and the hissing sounds from the audio?
i ordered min 0n the 9th sept so it should be coming nearer to the end of the month.
would the problems be sorted by then?

Any comments much appreciated.

Honestly, I doubt it. I hope very much they do, as I also orderd mine early.

It takes some time for apple to make the ipods, to ship them and to distribute them. So I think the first devices all over the world will be more or less the same.

I'm also sort of praying that this *dodgy* batch get nuked before they hit the UK shores before I get mine :)

I'd imagine Apple are going to resolve this quickly due to all the cancelled orders.

yes i also placed a order on apple web site on the 9th iam very much hoping apple filter the stock before the arrive in the uk just hope European itouch are ok would love to here from anyone in the uk or european countries if the having the same problem

Apple won't lift a finger to resolve the issue in the stock they already have, folks. They'll sell what they've got and replace any that anyone complains about. Other than that, they'll just rely on most folks not having a clue what the device should look like properly and hopefully make sure subsequent units don't have the same issue. That's if they're even willing to admit there's an issue at all.

The UK/Euro orders won't ship till the 28th, so nobody has one at the moment. Even the Stores don't have them. I've cancelled mine until I read the iLounge review and also until I see what's happening on Tuesday...

It doesn't matter when you ordered it. I ordered one on the 8th in the evening with an engraving, then the next day cancelled it to order one without an engraving, and then later on that day cancelled again to order one with a voucher making it only £245 delivered.

All of them said "Ships by 28th, delivered by 1st/2nd".

I've cancelled that last one as well now. I'm not getting stuck with a dodgy unit I have to send back and forth to Apple and pay the postage on! Or, will they let you exchange it in store?

about 4:30 i think if the stock comes in early? then it may be shipped before the 28th thats what i hope it happened in usa with best buy stores so why not here in uk

does anyone know if u can exchange a faulty product at a apple store even if you purchased it online?
