I'm not terribly worried about scratches on the back (even though I've babies it, it already has a few), but I really don't want the screen scratched. I want to buy a case, but I'm waiting for one that will include an arm band/clip like the TitanGear or Agent 18 Shock Kit. There are no cases available in our area at all, and I haven't seen one I like on line yet. I don't want to have to buy two--one now and one when something with attachements come out, so I'm looking for a way to protect the screen in the meanttime. Have any of you come up screen protection solutions?

just order a screen protector from shieldzone invisableshield or somewhere, a good quality one like that is very hard wearing and will keep you covered until the agent18 arrives.
I am just going to use my shieldzone most of the time and thats it, when vaja comes out with a case I may pick it up for a change, and might own an agent18 for trvaelling etc but most of the time my nano will be naked.

they have universal screen protectors at walmart for 6 bucks. i picked them up, cut it to the size of the nano screen and back, and stuck them on. it was really easy, it only took about 10 minutes, and it includes a paper card that you rub on it that gets all the air bubbles out. that and an ipod sock is protecting my iPod until i can pick up a rubber skin in the middle of october when the come out.

First time post here apparently. I thought I had a login but they don't have my email on file at all so I guess not!
Anyway... according to Apple Insider, the screen of the new Nano is apparently glass, similar to the iPhone, and touch, and apparently the new Classic as well. They said they tried to scratch it with a coin and weren't able too. So it sounds like the only bit worth worrying about is the polished stainless back.

These screen protectors are great. The directions say to apply them dry, but I sprayed mine with Windex to help them slide for a perfect alignment. I decided to trim mine to the screen perfectly as they're shaped to overlap the screen a bit (for the old 5G). A pack includes 15 protectors, which is awesome, I used 3 before I got a perfect trim and fit, and it works fantastic, no bubbles and it doesn't impede screen viewing at all.
FWIW, I also ordered a bestskinsever full body skin for ~$7 to put on the back, that's working great as well.

Thanks--I ordered a set this afternoon. They now have them custom cut for the 3G nano.

I had the same concern about scratches etc. I actually held off on purchasing mine for two excruciating weeks until I could find cases and screen guards. I finally found some quality accessories and after ordering mine I became friends with the supplier. Edited to remove advertising.

If you're cheap, like me, you can just use packing tape instead.
I cut a piece off mine, and then I put it on the screen *and* the back of my iPod (cause it was too hard for me to cut a piece to be the size of the tiny iPod screen =)).

I bought the one from "best skin ever" for like $6 or something.
They send you 1 for the back, 1 for the front, 1 for the scroll wheel, and 1 for the middle of the scroll wheel. The quality is good and very similar to shieldzone's which I have on my Axim.
