i dropped my nano today...

so it was homeroom this morning, and they were doing the announcements. as usual they started out first thing with the pledge. so i stand up, and i don't know how it happened, but as i stood up, my nano fell out of my left pocket, dropped about 3 1/2 feet, and landed on its back on the floor. my first, immediate thought was 'ok, no big deal, i have the plastic covers on the back.' and i was right, at least, about that. the iPod was fine, no damage, scratches, nothing. but then, when it hit the floor, the kid across from me said, 'OH S***! that's the new nano!' (right in the middle of the pledge, loud enough for everyone to hear. lol.) that immediately got everyone's attention, and word spread quickly that i have the new iPod. i probably had close to 75 people ask me about it today so i just told them it was in my locker; it was really in my pocket, as always, i just didn't want to have to deal with showing it to everybody and risk having something happen to it. i guess i can't bring my iPod to school anymore because now everyone knows i have it so i have a high risk of having it stolen. oh well. at least i know its durable :D

exactly, i can defend myself and i don't have problems or anything, but i'm on the smaller side, i'm only about 5'7. there are a lot of bigger kids in my high school, so i don't want to risk anything.

I bring my iPod to school every day. Everyone knows though. Nearly everyone in my school has an iPod. But I make sure my iPod is safe. I keep it behind all my books etc. in my school bag. And when I'm listening to it (usually just on the walk to and from school) it's in my pocket. E

Anyway, I've only ever been worried about getting my brand new iPhone ripped off, but not when it's in my pocket. No one will mess with me I think...and if someone took my phone I'd beat they're ###.

haha, well when there are soccer, football, and basketball players in your school who tower over you at over 6 feet (some are as tall as 6'6, there's even one kid who's 6'11) you can feel kind of short at 5'7. I love how this got really off topic and shifted to a discussion about height lol :)

A good reason to purchase the cheap shuffle...for theft..If I were in high school still I'd never bring my nano or video to school.
