Does it sync any faster than the 2nd gen?

Did they improve the sync speed for the 3g nano, or is it as slow as the 2g nanos? In other words, are they as noticeably slow to transfer when compared to 5g ipods and 1g nanos as the 2g nanos were?

I'm surprised that I didn't see the answer to this in the review, unless I missed it.

I find it amazingly fast to synchronize and transfer songs.:)
