Greetings! I have purchased a nano for use with a Nike + Sport Kit and was wondering what the consensus was on fixing it to your shoes. I hate Nike shoes and know there are products out there designed to house the sensor, but there actually seems to be too many choices. Here are my issues. I know some are meant to be laced into your shoes, while others are clipped on. Are there accuracy issues between the two? I would assume the laced on would be more secure and thus more accurate due to limited movement. What about shoe wallets? Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, here are the ones I have found in my searches...

The Nike Shoe Wallet - clips on and holds other things as well, but movement would be a concern for me

Shoe Pouch - Laces into the shoes. Seems like it would be the most accurate because of limited movement, but also a hassle to lace on every time

SwitchEasy - A clip on holder, looks to be somewhat waterproof?

Another pouch - this one velcros on, but seems like it would provide little support

There are a couple of others I've run across (no pun intended). But, what do you think?

I use the SwitchEasy. It's great because it has a button on the back so you can power down your transmitter and drastically save your battery. It's also very easy to move to different shoes (I like to do trail runs on the weekends and use different shoes for that).

However, I would not call it "waterproof". It has clips on the side (you never open it, so you don't have to worry about breaking it) that would probably let some water in if your foot got submerged. But there is no problem in rain. Though I would expect all of these to do perfectly well in the rain.

Just my two cents. Good luck.

Your bottom pic holder thing is made by Marware. I have that, and it fits and works fine. I use it with their wrist/arm band called sportsuit something and my 2nd gen nano. Nothing earth shattering here; it is comfortable and unobtrusive and does what it is supposed to.

I've been looking for these things for a while so its a great list. But what makes me nuts is that you can buy some of them for under $5 but the charge you $10-15 shipping. The marware one is on amazon for $2.99 but $12 shipping?

Anyone know a good cheap place to buy?

I've been using it for about six months now and really like it. Easy to switch to a different pair of running shoes and it is protected pretty well.
