I'm just wondering how does the Shure E4G compare to the Shure SE420? Is the SE420 slightly better or significantly better than the E4G?
One of my main problems with the E4G is that the cable is way too long. I'm about 5 feet 8.5" tall and there appears to be about 6 inches of "extra" in which I'll have to deal with like wrapping around my body. To this day, I still think the stock Ipod earphones are the perfect length. I'm wondering is the SE420 (without modular cable) a lot shorter than the E4G? If so, how much shorter? Does the SE420 comes with a clip?
Where is the cheapest and reputable place to buy the SE420?

The SE420s are dual driver-based. That means it has a dedicated tweeter and a woofer. The E4c's are single driver. The whole frequency range comes from one driver, while the dual drivers divide the job in 2 (separate lows and highs), so less half-### sound in a way.
From what I've seen, the SE420 has a split cable design. The end with the earphones are 45 cm long. With the extension, it gets up to 136 cm. There's also volume adjuster which can be connected in between (adds in 10-15 cm) I've also heard that the SE420s are not very practical when it comes to wrapping the canalphones around your player due to all the extra extension that you are adding on.
The best price that I've seen for SE420s is on HeadRoom for $250 US (use the promotion coupon code). I dunno about e-bay, not a big fan of it.

So the earphones from the earbuds to the end of the cable is 45cm in total length? What is the coupon code and do they ship to Vancouver, Canada?

The earphones' cable design is like this:
earbuds ===== 45 cm ====>- >-======= 91 cm extender ========>-
where... =>- represents a 1/8" plug connector and >-= represents the receiving end of the connector. The total length with extension is 136 cm or 54 inches.
As for the shipping, they do ship to Canada for 30 bucks by FedEx and I think that is the only option. You can go take a look yourself on Headroom's website: http://www.headphone.com/

I forgot to mention the 100$ rebate coupon code: SE420B (black) or SE420W (white).
