And no I'm not talking about the click that can turned off. That's the first thing I do when I get a new iPod.

When I scroll over the 10-11 o’clock position on the click wheel (between the back and menu buttons) I hear a clicking noise. It's a little louder than the noise the iPod makes. I can also produce the noise by lightly tapping the click wheel at this location. It doesn't happen at any other position on the click wheel.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Because the shell is metal and the click wheel is plastic, there is a tiny gap that doesn't fit together as well as all plastic-front ipods do.

I experienced a similiar thing when I got my 2g nano, with it being the first metal ipod I was not used to it and posted the same question in here.

Over time, the click wheel will settle in and you won't notice it much.

I now have the same problem with my new black iPod nano 8GB (3rd Gen).
Between the 10 and 11'o position my click wheel "clicks" when tapping lightly on it. Also when I press the Menu and reverse buttons it "clicks twice" because of that. Did this go away over time like iONic said or did you have it repaired?
Because I'm going to go to Australia in less than one week and can't have it repaired before, I would like to know something about that. May it be, that the click wheel will stop working in like half a year or so, or is that something I can just ignore and live with?
Thanks in advance and sorry to have raised this thread from the dead ;)
