Hi all,

I just got my new 40g iPod and love it. I intend to start listening to audio books with it - I've never "listened" to a book before - and I excited about it.

Well, I got thinking... my Mother is not well. She has been reading 1 to 2 books a week for her entire life and she seldom feels up to reading anymore. I thought it would make her happy to listen to audio books and Audible would be a great solution for her... she is online and is somewhat handy with a computer - not bad for a 72 year old woman, huh? ;)

Is there an mp3 player out there that can be had for a cheap price for the sole purpose of playing audio books? What sort of capacity should I be looking for in an mp3 player for this purpose?

Any help with this will be very appreciated.

Thanks

Audible sells something called the Otis player. And I think you can get it free if you open a new account. I'll bet you could open an account in your mother's name and get it.

Oh, that's a poop! Didn't realize that. Glad I have my iPod and my US Citizenship then. ;)

I'm sure someone would be able to lend a hand in ordering it. It's not lying, it's intercontinental import business!
