I can't wait until somebody gets aim or ichat on the touch, as well as streaming and stuff like that. Even apple could do this, it would be amazing. If they're leaving that for the iphone, maybe ipodlinux could include this.
What are your thoughts on modding the touch?

If history has shown anything... Yeah Linux/Rockbox have extended the functions of iPods, UNFORTUNATELY, neither iPodlinux or Rockbox retained the EZ OF USED that iTunes/iPod is the whole reason (most of) we bought iPods for, despite the constant requests for more features.
If yer a current IPodLinux/Rockbox user, then it will probly gonna happend, eventually.

It may not. The 2nd gen Nanos have encrypted firmware, which is why RB doesnt work on them yet, if I understand correctly.
If this has been moved to these new ones, then RB wont be ported any time soon.

Google Maps, Notes, Calendar (fully functional), and E-mail ported over from iPhone should be hackable without needing a whole new non-Apply firmware.
AIM might require more work?

Hmm, the concept of mobile FrostWire/Bittorrent strike anyone as a fun idea?

Interesting... I thought the encryption just doesn't allow changing the firmware, but wholesale replace should work. Maybe the bootloader is encrypted too. Bummer.

bit torrent would be NUTS
I'd love to have something like that where you could just add the songs when they're finished downloading.

I agree, a mobile bit torrent app would be awsome. I personally see apple selling apps on iTunes, missing ones and new ones. This is another way for them to make money and for us to easily get the apps we want.
