Where can I buy a new 2nd gen Nano? I really liked the red 8g that was availabe on the apple website.

Pretty much right now the only place to get them right now is the Apple Store. The other stores should get them in with the next week or so.

Walmart still had a stock of 2nd generation nanos in my area
You've also got the refurb store thats got some great deals going on at apple. Refurbs are pretty much brand new iPods and tested to preform like a brand new one.
