Tomorrow i am going to bestbuy and picking up a 15 gig ipod. I dont have a firewire card and pickin up one of those too, just seein if i should go for it ( the ipod ) or wait. Just seein all these bugs and complaints making me unshure. Im going on 2 vacations in 2 weeks and thought it would be good thing to have now. Just let me know...go for it?

Yeah I would go for it. I just got my 15 gig and I love it so far. Yes, there are bugs, but Apple should be coming out with firmware to fix them pretty soon (or at least I hope). It's very simple to update the iPod using the provided software. Just take the plunge!

k, looks like im going to bestbuy tomorrow unless i change my mind. i gotta pickup 2 firewire cards one for my home pc and one for my win98se pc at work

According to Apple, your 3rd gen iPod will not work with Win98se. I called Apple and the CSR also said it will not work with 98se.
Let us know if it works. I have a 98se box I would like conncect to my 15gb iPod (if I ever get it from Dell).

yea i saw that on apples site that the 3rd gen would not work w. 98se. So im just burning the songs/files onto a cd and transfer to my home pc w. win me and put on my ipod then. I just got mine and its SO AUSOME!!!!!
