How does it feel compared to other screen protectors? does it have that rubbery feel to it, or is it smooth?

Utterly smooth. You barely, barely know it's there. The stuff is great.

I don't like it. The light sensor doesn't work as good with it. After I took mine off I noticed the iPhone screen automatically getting brighter and dimmer based on if I moved into a different environment.

Also, when removing it, it could damage your iPhone by pulling up/off the entire glass screen.

Also it's a pain to install aligned 100% correctly. And, you end up with some dust specs under it no matter what you do.
Since it's not really necessary (the iPhone screen doesn't scratch easily), I don't feel it's worth the money and trouble.

I'm gonna have to test that light sensor thing some time... but everything else Mediahound said sounds absurd. Mine was incredibly easy to apply. Follow the directions and use scotch tape to remove any dust that falls on your screen while applying, and also use scotch tape to lift up the screen protector if you need to reposition. Scotch tape is KEY!!!

Yeah, I don't know what Mediahound is talking about but mine was easy to apply and no dust specs or bubbles.
I don't see how it could ever remove the entire glass screen, it comes off really easy.
I've never tested the light sensor but I never had a problem with it so....

If you don't believe me, try taking it off (using scotch tape). It will be really really hard to come off (you will need to pull insanely hard and try multiple times) and in the process, your entire screen will lift up a bit. Then afterwards the screen will never be as tight (you'll be able to press on it and hear it click).

I don't know how you are doing it but I have taken mine off before.

I put a small piece of scotch tape on the corner and gently lifted up the corner and peeled the whole thing right off pretty easily. I didn't have to pull really hard or anything.
My screen didn't budge.

ok, well mine was only on for maybe a couple of weeks before I took it off.
I didn't think it would actually get that hard to take off. At least I know it won't come off accidentally now. :)

When I read your post, i thought, wow, I hadn't thought of what would happen over time. I've had mine on since the first week it was out and I've never tried removing it. So I tried, and a .5" piece of tape on the corner lifts the screen protector as easily as it did the very first day.

The Power Support Film is the best on the market (albeit insanely expensive). I've never experienced any of the problems you've mentioned and have been using their products for years on my nano, shuffle, and now my iPhone. The real beauty of this is the glass-like transparency and magic-like, non-adhesive application.

Yes, it takes care, a little scotch tape, and patience to get this on properly but even now I can of stare at it in disbelief. Love it.

Mediahound, if you think this is hard to get off, try one of the adhesive-based ones after a few weeks.

These aren't bad, but I don't like the adhesive they use. Namely, if you do catch a piece of lint underneath and you resort to the time-honored tradition of peeling up the protector and using a piece of scotch tape to remove the lint, the tape will leave a mark on the underside of the protector.

Although a bit more expensive, the protectors from both Brando and PocketPCTechs (the WriteShield) are easier to install, have much better installation instructions, and are MUCH more forgiving in the instance I cited above. I also believe they are cut better to the dimensions of the screen and are easier to align and install. Both companies also offer anti-glare and crystal clear options.

Is this the same film that the Apple Stores sell for the iPhones?

I am planning to get my iPhone in a few weeks, but am trying to get all the accessories I will need and trying to learn what is the best and not. :)

IMHO The beat case and film combination is this crystal film paired with Switcheasy's iPhone capsule.

Why would you need the film protection when the capsule already has screen protectors?
