I have used the earbuds that came in box since I got my iPod. I know there are better out there, but I knew these were fine and always planned to get different ones. Well now, something is wrong with these. When I have them in my ears regularly, they sound really low, even at high volume. Then I figured out when I turn them side ways [always backwards] the sound is really high and volume is normal. Do you think the little speakers in both of them fell back into the earbud?

There is probably no solution, but anyone know how much a good [cheap] pair on earbuds are? Or the original iPod earbuds? I don't want headphones.

senns cx300 sound better, last longer & are relatively cheap (beware fakes). probably the next logical step up from ibuds. wouldn't bother chasing replacement ibuds, they will fail soon enough also.

CX300's are not earbuds, and unless the OP is actually looking in-ear/canal phones, not at all a logical step.

In the same vein as the iBuds, you can nab something like Sennheiser MX500 for around $20. Go a little higher and the V-Moda remix gets good praise. If you're willing to spend a little cash, you can get Yuin PK2s ($69 from head-direct) which sound like many full sized cans.

true.dat, but the poster didn't say no canal phones either, & was having to turn them to get different sound. i figure that simple cheap canal phones will stay in place, not to mention isolation (can be louder).

and no, before you ask, i don't work for senn
