Well, out of a 10 I would have to give the actual case a 10.
screen protecter = 8
holster clip = 8

the reason the case got a 10 is because of its sheer design. this case didnt take away from any of the beauty from my phone, but actually added it. (GASP) I dont know why, but it makes my device look like a million dollar one. The case actually does protect it also, as i dropped my iphone minutes after i put it on (my first drop) and the phone survived (although it may have without the case) the clip that comes with it is unusable.

for the screen protecter, i have to give it an 8 or lower, because it wasnt one of the easiest screen protecters ive ever put on, (had to peel it off, wash it to get lint off, take a piece of tape, cover entire sticky side then peel off the tape.) but the screen looks protected at the end. (the only way you can notice it if its off, and you can see two tiny corners where the adheisive stayed on the other side of the peel thing), and when its on by a tiny case-mate logo in the lower right hand.

for the holster, i have to give it an 8 or better because it simply does what it is supposed to do. (hold your phone). i didnt give it higher because mine came kindoff loosely put together, but i really just had to push the fabric back onto the leather and hold it for a couple of seconds.

now for the pictures.

I've had the case since day one, but I am far from impressed with it. I never really liked the design, but the quality was there. The problem is that it didn't hold my phone very securely. I dropped it 3 feet onto pavement and the phone popped out and got a nice dent. I've since replaced it with an iSkin Revo.

Yah i had this case as well and loved it, but i ended up returning it and getting a vaja holster. I love my new case, but it doesnt ofer as much protection (however i have a iS on my phone).

I had it for about two weeks before the button on the case came off and my phone dropped to the floor. I then got a griffin slip in case, and the plastic clip has broken on it as well.

I thought I might try the EB cases design, but that flap that covers the front of the phone looks annoying to me. Can anyone make a case with a rugged belt clip system?

Same problem. 2 cases now have lost the 'nub' for the belt clip. Glue on leather isn't such a great idea! I'm calling Case-Mate again.

It's one of the better looking cases out there. I previously tried the Incase leather case and wasn't all that thrilled by how the front by the home button puckered out. The Case Mate case fits the iPhone reasonably well although with age (mine's about 3 or so months old now) has shown signs of wear on the leather's finish and the iPhone seems to fit a little bit looser in the case itself. Of minor note, the chrome ring is a bit scratched but not sure if it's from this case or the Incase case most likely it's from Case Mate one. Thinking of trying *another* case...sigh. But overall, I'd say it's not bad, only if the case would actually protect the iPhone's finish vs scratch it up. Like someone said already, it's nice to be able to pull the iPhone out of your pocket without pulling other stuff or the pocket liner as well. I'd rate this a B/B- in terms of protection and materials/workmanship.
