iTunes is only made to sync songs from it's library to your iPod. One cannot sync songs from their iPod to iTunes. You'll have to import/download all your songs again, sorry.

Actually, that's not entirely true... iTunes will transfer purchased content (from the iTunes Store) from the iPod back to iTunes.
There are also a number of ways to transfer most other forms of content through either manual access to the iPod in disk mode, or through the use of of third-party utilities.
