Ear speaker didn't work after i unplugged headphones

so earlier i plugged in the headset to talk for a while and when i was done i unplugged it and went along my way. next call i made the phone would only work if i put it on speakerphone and it kept doing that, i turned it off and then on and the same thing happened. to fix it i had to go back and put the headset in and then take it out.

so fortunately it's fixed now i just hope that doesn't happen again i don't want to have to double check that my phone works every time i unplug the headset heh. i figure what happened was the switch that turns the ear speaker off in the first place wasn't triggered when i unplugged my headset the first time but if it wasn't nearby that could've been quite annoying. anyone else had this problem?

The exact same thing happened to me, and I got scared that the speaker was broken because I didn't think to turn on the speakerphone.

I was about to do a restore when I decided to try plugging in the earbuds.

Is it a hardware or software issue?
