I've run into an interesting situation. Shortly after I synced my iPhoto library from my MacBook to my iPhone, my MacBook went to Apple for repairs. They replaced the hard drive so my only copies of my photos are now on my iPhone. iPhoto will only import the photos taken with the iPhone camera. iTunes does a one-direction sync (from iPhoto on the MacBook to the iPhone). Does anyone know of a way to get around this? I found something similar to iPod Access for photos, but it's only for Windows.

No, there is presently no way to retrieve photos from the iPhone other than the ones that you've taken with the iPhone's camera. The third-party tools that do this for the iPod do not work with the iPhone. See last week's Ask iLounge column (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/ask-ilounge-8-2-07) for more detailed information on this.
Some of the third-party tools that are being worked on to expose the iPhone file system might help to recover this information, but these are by no means ready for casual use (ie, not for the faint of heart).
The only real solution would be to e-mail each and every photo back to yourself, one at a time. It's a tedious process, but would be better than losing your photos entirely.
Note as well that since the photos are resized for iPhone display, you're not going to get anything back in a resolution higher than 480x320 (the iPhone's screen size).

Old thread I know but I just read in another thread you can't attach a photo to an email.
If you can, please tell us how!
Never mind, just figured it out with more "play time".
