iPhone iTunes ?s

Hey Folks,

I just got my iPhone and have a couple of questions.

Several months ago I moved all my music and videos (approx 40 Gig) onto a portable hard drive to make room for a game I wanted to play (MS Flight Sim X). My Dell only has a 60 Gig Hard drive.

I have since added some music and videos to my computer.

I am currently running Version 7.0.2.16

I believe I have to update my iTunes version to activate my iPhone but am nervous I am going to mess something up… like loose my music currently on my computer.

Given my situation/configuration… what would be my best path forward (without buying a new computer)?

Download the latest iTunes and set it to look for music on the external HD. Just set it not to copy imported music which it does by default since it will copy it back onto your main HD.

iTunes updates are real painless. You won't lose any music.

I have updated iTunes on one particular computer since version 4.5 to every new version and it has always worked like a charm.
