iphone doesnt switch screen when i move it

when im either browsing the internet or looking at photos, im usually looking to browse in a horizontal position. The problem is when i switch from vertical to horizontal the iphone doesnt recognize it and it still says vertical. It moves sometimes but most of the time it either doesnt switch the position at all or takes about 20-30seconds to do so. has anybody else had this problem? im going to take it in tomorrow to my local apple store and hopefully they'll just give me a new one or fix whatever it is.

Your iphone must be vertical in order to switch screens and not horizontal. For instance if you have your iphone on its back and try to switch screens it wont work. It needs to be in the upright possition.

You must also not have the keyboard on the screen.

yeah still doesnt work. there must be something wrong with it when i go to apple today we'll see what they say.

well i noticed that if i'm browsing photos and i start it when i'm already in the horizontal position, moving it won't do anything and it displays everything vertically no matter what i do. i just simply made sure it was vertical before i went to the photos application and it worked fine.
