Sweet. You don't have an iPhone or you haven't updated?

I clicked the link where it said what was fixed but it just took me the manual of the iphone on the apple site. This firmware upgrade is taking awhile though.

I'm not at my computer that I use with my phone. Besides, as a rule of thumb, I like letting others be the guinea pigs. :)

Well I'm updated to 1.0.1 but I don't notice anything. If someone gets that list of what the update fixes please post.

I just applied the patch. Takes about 5 minutes total. iPhone checks the current OS before installing the new one. Then it reboots under the updated software/firmware. No problems that I can see. Phone is working just fine. I don't see any feature upgrades at this time.

looks like it's just a security update for Safari

For those who applied hacks to your iPhone, iTunes will require you to do a full restore rather than just an update. Once full restored and updated, you'll be able to apply the hacks again.

Yep just a security update for Web. Still, it's a good sign. I think we can expect more revolutionary updates in the future.

Doesn't the 1.0.1 number clue you in? The fact that the smallest digit changes means it's just a bug fix/security update. Don't expect any MMS, IM, or games on this one.

"Clue you in"? I don't think anyone here was "without clue" before. We all see what the update is. Nothing more than bog fixes. So?

From the iLounge fromt page, it sounds like they may have fixed the bug where Safari stops and kicks you back to the home menu after a couple of minutes of browsing (which is the problem I had). Hopefully this does work, as that was my #1 annoyance right now with the phone (though really, not to big a deal for the phone I love)

one of the obvious fixes for me was the the green battery indicator now shows a full battery charged. previously, though it was fully charged, the green battery was not completely full. it is said that this problem affected 60% of iphones.

as for other updates, phones were forced to begin from restore mode to elimates some of the hacks out there...ringtones, wallpapers, etc...

I'm now able to use my old Belkin iPod car adapter; something I couldn't do under 1.0.0.

I havent used my iphone much after the update, however one thing which i have noticed is that I can finally listen to my music while browsing online without any problems. Before my iphone would stop playing songs or skip to another song all of a sudden. After the update my iphone works great.

PS. Making this post on my iphone.
