Long story short. I just COULDN'T wait any longer for the iPhone (plus I needed a Blackberry-type device for work that would do e-mails), so I picked up an iPhone last weekend.
Luckily, I was able to add on to a family plan with my parents instead of getting a new plan with AT&T. So, as it stands now, I have my iPhone with AT&T on a new number (lets call this number 555-555-5555) and my cell phone on T-Mobile (lets call this number 666-666-6666).
Here's what I'm wondering...Technically, my cell plan with T-Mobile is up in September and I've been wanting to give them the boot for a while anyway. If I migrated my number before September, I would have had to pay that redicilious termination fee. So now, I'm wondering -- come September -- whether I can migrate my old number (666-666-6666) from T-Mobile and have it switched to my AT&T iPhone to replace the current 555-555-5555.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Can migration occur 'after-the-fact' or is it only something they offer you when you first sign up for your plan? And yes, technically the numbers are in the same market -- I already checked on this.
Any knowledge on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
