Does anyone else have issue with your iphone getting really hot? It only seems to happen when using the dension ice-link car adapter, or audio link car adapter. Are these interfaces outputting to many volts for the iphone? I never had issues with the ipod video.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

I'm having the same issue. I stopped using the car charger altogether for fear my iPhone would start to bulge the way my MacBook Pro battery once did.

I also noticed that it gets warmer when initially streaming over a wifi connection and plugged in. However if I unplug after I've started to stream and then replug into the wall outlet the battery acclimates and doesn't get nearly as hot again.

I've always feared that car chargers have a negative effect on battery life. I have no data to back it up, just a feeling from previous phones and iPods I've used. I've searched around and I can't find any hard data.

I seem to remember that car chargers actually charge faster than regular chargers, which would seem to be detrimental to the health of the battery. I'd love to get some definitive info on this.

Even though the iPhone(?), like the iPod, can take car's 12v, technically, if u use a 5 volts auto charger (straight USB), should run things cooler.
