Hello,
I've tried out various FM transmitters for my iPod (5th Gen / Video) and the audio clarity seem to be similar for many. I've read reviews of various FM transmitters as well, and it's interesting to read of how writers would say that one sounds better than another.

I wish there was a scientific experiment done with these and other FM transmitters. It would be cool if we had some hard facts as to which of them really have stronger transmission strength, and put the strength down quantitatively. What I mean by this is: For a laboratory to say something like "Based on our FM Transmission Receptor Machine, the DLO Transpod has a transmission strength of XXX units, while the iTrip has a transmission strength of YYY units." All I want is some hard facts/numbers.

I would like to know which of the FM transmitters that are in the market is best.
Is there a way to actually test the transmission strength? Has this already been done? If so, where?

I've found two:

TransDock Deluxe has a transmitter power of 1.5 Watts
Transmitter Range: Up to 27 feet (9M)

Transpod 2: transmitter power: 1.5 Watts
Transmitter Range: Up to 30 feet (9M)

No, I do not get the drift. I don't understand.
All I'm asking is if research has been done that compares the transmission strengths of the various FM transmitters.

the problem is the transmission strength of the radios stations in your town
all cities towns states don't have the same stations that is what causes the static noise and all the problems we find with fm modulators or trasmiters
the best way to make one of this work is when the car antenna is unplug from the head unit
(not telling you to do that ) see if there is a way to plug the ipod to the car stereo or if there is a cd changer port ,they can be use to listen to your ipod

also i test about 15 units couple of months ago some work better than other in florida
when the same unit was send the california te result was not the same
