well i was ordering my iphone last night and after i was done with everything my brother came up with a great idea. since im going to be a new cingular customer, while waiting for the iphone to come in, my brother told me i should open a new contract under cingular and recieve a free phone. basically instead of using my iphone for a new contract, i ordered a free phone with a new contract for $39.99 a month, and when the iphone comes in i will activate it under that plan, but just add the iphone data plan. this allows me to not use the free phone at all that i received and sell it on ebay from anywhere from $150-$200 brand new. So, you could potentially get the iphone for $400. It may sound like a lot but it really is not at all. If this idea was already brought then oh well, but i guess it should be useful for those of you who didnt know.

It worked for me.

Be careful selling your phone on eBay though. There are a lot of buyers out there that will rip you off. Ebay has articles in their help section detailing how to lessen the risk of such a thing occurring. Read up on them.

Hmm...I have bought three or four phones and never gotten scammed. My current contract on TMobile was bought off of ebay, and I just bought my son a replacement phone last week. Just go with sellers that have high feedback and you should be OK.
