PC Freeze when syncing photos...anybody?

Hi there. I am running Vista and trying to sync my photos from a folder to my iphone with itunes and it says "optimizing photos" and just sits there and then proceeds to crash my computer every time. Everything but the pictures sync fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have the latest version of Vista and the latest version of Itunes. If I attempt to sync photos, I get the Blue Screen of Death.

This function did work fine on XP!!

My problem, though not as bad, is similar. I can sync any information (video, audio, contacts, etc.) except for the pics. Instead of a BSOD my iTunes just says "synching" and NEVER moves from there. If I uncheck the pic subdirectory everything is fine (immediately changes from "synching iPhone" to "contacts, etc.)
Getting ready to upgrade to iTunes 7.4 and try again, will report.....


oooops, guess I misread about iTunes 7.4(?)

UPDATE:
7.4 did not fix the problem. Took iPone to work today and set it to sync photos with work computer....it worked fine!!!! Same version of iTunes...the mystery deepens.

I'm also on Vista and had the same problem with my photos. I now sync just my photos on one of those portable usb flash drives and it now syncs all of my photos with no problems. Hope this helps.

I get the same problem on XP, it says its syncing on the phone but itunes just freezes up. It only happens with pics. :(
