Ok for some reason I think I ran into the same thing with my Ipod when I have the Iphone plugged into the computer and click its Icon all the songs are faded and you cant do anthing with them. I want to add 2 TV shows and I drag it over to the Iphone and it doesnt allow me. I have like 5 gigs left.

thats because the iphone has no disk mode therefor disabling the ability to to "drag and drop"

So is there any fix for that?

Nothing we can do about it but hopefully apple will include this feature in the first update

Create a playlist in iTunes and name it 'iPhone.' Drag all the songs that you want into that play list and just sinc it. That way you can add and delete songs from your iPhone using that playlist.

This is really a poor substitute and here's why; there is not the same duplicate track restriction on playlists that there is in "Manually Managed Music" mode.

Example, when I wanted to fill up my Nano I sort by: Stars (took the top 4&5), Play count (took everything with 6 or so), and then date added (too the newset two months).

So from this we basically have three categories which are all essentially different ways of saying things I like (since I spent most of the last month or so getting old stuff I wanted but was missing). With the manually managed mode even though a given track may be represented in each of the three groups, it would only appear once on the nano; with the playlist it will allow you to put the same song in there as many times as you want which I can only assume would result in it being on the iPhone three times in my example (I had tracks in the playlist three times).

The best thing I could do was to just use the checked songs only and then go through my whole dang library checking things. I unchecked all and then just went to it.

I think they should allow a manual sync even if it meant the phone would not work while it was in disc mode; they should just let the user know that is a limitation with that option.
