30 gig battery charging: 3 quick questions

Does the battery have to be fully discharged before recharging? Does a partial recharge shorten battery life? Is battery life effected if the iPod is nearly full? Any help or guidance appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Also, a search for Battery Recharging would have yielded a number of responses.

Regarding partial recharges etc...nothing to worry about. The iPod's battery doesn't have a memory or anything like that.

Thanks, Adam. Still wonder if a near-full iPod effects battery life. I have noticed that iPod seems to work a little more slowly as it gets filled up.

Well, it works slower because it has more disk space to check when it's searching through the iPod's database.

But as far as using more power..well, probably a minimal amount but nothing to worry about. All my iPods have always been as full as possible and I've had excellent battery life on all 3 of them.
