sitting here letting the led out while surfing ilounge and in the last hour the music has turned off by itself probably 10 times. Pretty frustrating while I'm rocking out. Anyone else having this problem?

Are you surfing the website on your iPhone while listening to music? A number of times I've had the iPod app crash while I'm using MobileSafari or MobileMail on my phone. Like you said, the music just stops playing. It sounds like that's what happening to you. Even if you're not doing something else on the phone, that's what it sounds like. There are certainly stability issues on the iPhone right now.
One thing you might try, if you notice it's happening on a few songs more often, is to resync those songs.

Aside from Safari itself crashing, this is pretty much one of the most widespread iPhone bugs. I'd expect it to be fixed or improved in the next software update.

I experience a similar problem. When browsing and listening to music my iPhone would skip songs or stop playing them about every 4-5 minutes. Apple needs to hurry up with the updates, its been three weeks. Also I remember about 10 days ago or so when I connected my iphone the message showed up, similar to the one when the program crashes and you have an option of sending the crash report to Apple, well same message showed up except for the iphone.

Yah i had the same problem but i took mine back to the apple store and they replaced it for me. Now mine works perfectly. I would be listening to music and surfing the net or something, and then it would jsut stop. I noticed that the phone was tricked into thinking it was still playin music too, after the music stopped i would preess the sleep button to put it to sleep and then turn it back on, and my song name would be where the date is ussually. If you take it back they might replace it for you.

I really don't think it's a hardware problem. It's a software crash. I didn't notice any of them for the first few days, then they started happening. My guess is if you did a restore, you'd be free of them for a few days. I suppose it *could* be hardware, but it's much less likely.

I had the same problem that was fixed when I did a restore. Haven't seen it happen since then.

Yah, i did a system restore and it fixed it for like 3 or 4 days and then it started happening again, slowly getting worse and worse, so i took it to the apple store and they replaced it. Ive had my new iphone for about a week and a half and it hasnt happened yet so i am hoping for the best.,

Yeah, mine is starting to do it again as well, so I figure I will be doing a restore every week or so. I still think that it is a firmware issue.
