What type of wire to select???

well got an 2002 jetta and i've had the oem monsoon removed and now have JVC indash, now i've tryed wires for it but it only plays the rear speakers :confused: so i was thinking of getting one that connects the double din wire in the trunk. But I also wanted to know is how would I hear this on the speakers and control it??

Huh? U assume people here have intimate knowledge of your car, well, unlikely. U will have to be more explicit what yer asking.

easy answer, don't touch it and bring it to someone that knows what they are doing. The Monsoon system has a factory amp and you need to know how to properly bypass the amp or you will fry everything.

you did not correctly integrate or bypass the amp. go to a vw forum I'm sure someone has diagramed this. More than likely by removing the factory headunit you have stopped signal from getting a factory amp. You'll probably going to have to run some wires from behind your headunit to wherever your amp is located. You also should be wary of what ohm load your factory speakers are. If your speakers get alot louder or are alot quieter, that is a signal that your factory speakers have something other than a 4 ohm resistance.
