I just recieved a 10 gig ipod for xmas this year, and i ordered a case right away b/c there is already a tiny scratch on the screen, Will this case work well for the screen protection, i will just mainly use it at home, and on car trips, i just need the screen protection, so i wont use it for running or anything like that, will this work for my needs,

Yes, it will probably work for you. However, the velcro closure did not work after about three weeks making it a dead loss. I prefer the Booq case - much better quality and protection.

Did the velcro wear out because over use, because i dotn plan on taking my ipod out of it, because i dont have a dock, i cant think of any reason y i would take it out of the case... or did this velcro just stop sticking?

Actually, the velcro wore out because I used the hold switch and, in order to get to it, you must use the velcro closure on top. There was no excessive use. I think it's just a faulty product.

gregnied,

I've had the DLO Action Jacket for several months now... and I love it.

The plastic piece in the front does protect the screen from scratches.

I haven't had any problems with the velcro closuure, but I don't use the hold button or take the iPod out of the case very often. Since you don't have a dock and won't be taking the iPod out of the case very often, I don't think you'll have any problems with the velcro either.

One problem with them that ive noticed, thats only really applicable when you take it out to dock it, is that the velcro strips scratch the screen. I never really thought it`d make much difference, but i noticed the other day that my iPod is a banged up as hell, scratches everywhere, apart from the crome back!. lol.

The stitching will scratch your iPOD face.
Don't buy this product.

Good basis for an evaluation that.

However, i will add this. My iPod has survived 3x2m falls with the DLO. Its very durable. And lets be honest here.
Once you`ve gotten over the first 1-3months of owning an iPod and getting over the "must keep it in pristine" condition state of mind that every owner goes through, you start to realise, who gives a rats a$$ if its got a few scratches. I brought it to play music not to place it on a shelf and stare at it!
