Help!!! Cable wanted

Hello, My sister's car was vandalized and robbed. Her ipod is now on other hands and unfortunately they took a cable need it to connect her ipod to the car. She bought another ipod but now she needs a cable that has to be connected on the data input of her ipod and on the other side needs a tip likeTelephone cable end. I can not find it, Her Ipod kit was bought at Chrysler and i do not know why they use that kind of input (telephone) which is on her car already installed to her stereo.

I hope you can help me. At the Chrysler they want to sell another kit instead of only a cable missed.

unfortunately, most kits like this sold at the dealer level are proprietary and you will not be able to mix and match parts like this. The only thing I can think of is figuring out who makes this kit for the manufacturer. You may need to find out where that cable ran to and if there is a box of some sort that has a manufacturer name on it. It is possible that that manufacturer will sell you the cable.

Car dealorships are a complete ripoff when it comes to ipod interfaces. Not only are they overpriced, but they charge an insane amount to install a very easy job. Most of the time at the car audio shop I worked at, we could integrate ipods into new vehicles for a third of the price of oem.
