Can IPhone bluetooth connect to a car Head Unit?

I was wondering....

There are Stereo Head Units on the market with Bluetooth. Since the IPhone has Bluetooth build-in, should you/are you be able to play your music via bluetooth connection on your bluetooth car stereo????

Since the iPhone doesn't support the A2DP (Bluetooth Stereo) profile, the short answer would be likely not.

Some head units might be able to connect to the normal Bluetooth monaural audio profile, but there wouldn't be much point in that unless you were only listening to audiobooks.
