does anyone know when us students will be able to take advantage of the student discount on the iPhone?

Nope I tried absolutely not
but it still works if your University has an AT&T group discount or you have Family member in the Armed Forces then you get like 12% off the AT&T monthly bill

Possibly never.... Apple has made no announcements about any student or educational pricing on the iPhone, and they in fact stopped offering it on all iPod models last year.

Not true. When I activated my iPhone iTunes told me that I'm going to lose my University monthly discount.
