iPhone locks up PC

When I connect my iPhone to my PC (running windows vista & itunes 7.3) I get a pop up to browse the iPhone as a portable hard drive (which does not really work if you click on it) and iTunes just hangs. Upon unplugging the iPhone everything starts working fine again.

Also, the iPhone lags horribly (upwards of 1minute per command) when it is plugged in to the PC.

Any one have any ideas?

I did an uninstall & reboot then reinstalled iTunes 7.3 and that seems to have fixed the problem... strange -- hope it does not happen again...
