Im really not liking the ATT plans. They scream out! ( RIP OFF! ) im currently on the 1,500 minute plan with T-mobile @49.99 & would hate to loose that. I would like to know some one that can unlock my Iphone or is selling an unlocked iphone.
I dont mind loosing visual voice mail ;)
As Apple is making the iPhone specifically locked to one - and only one - network, it'll be difficult, if not impossible to unlock. Plus the fact that it needs to be activated to an AT&T through iTunes in order to function at all... it just doesn't seem likely that it's going to be usable on any network other than AT&T.

Sigh...look at what you plan offers vs the iPhone plans. I'm guessing yours doesnt inculde data. So explain to me how the plans scream rip off? Especially when they come in at aroud the same or better then comparable plans with data service.

Don't hold your breath.... "Expected availability for unlock: Unknown"
They have no idea if they even can do this... They're advertising the services pre-emptively in the hopes that they or somebody else may figure it out and they can start offering unlocking services.
While it may turn out to be possible to unlock the iPhone, keep in mind that this is a completely new device with a completely different operating system than anything that's been produced before. Most of these unlocking services are able to unlock new models of phones from the usual carriers very quickly simply because the same basic procedures apply.... In other words, once you know how to unlock a Nokia phone, the same procedure can be applied for most Nokia phones, and ditto for Motorola, Sony Ericsson, and so forth.
With the iPhone, anybody who is trying to figure out how to do this is going to be starting from scratch, with the very little prior experience that can be built upon.
