I've read the hassles some have had with the keyboard, and how there is a significant learning curve. I have been able to pick it up and start hammering away as fast I did on my Treo, and nearly as fast as I can on my 8525. I don't have small thumbs or forefinger, either.

Caveat - I have always been able to pick up new thumboards and keypads pretty quickly. Just curious about others.

I have no problems either, I have had a treo 750, blackjack, sprint smartphone and blackberrys before, I pick up quickly as well.

Mine works great. I just need to learn the "smart" type more. Sometimes I type the whole word when i could just hit the space bar and continue

I'm picking it up pretty easily too despite my large flat thumbs. And I'm having fun practicing!

I am a very large man, 6 foot 3, with giant hands, and I am getting really quick with the typing. It is really a pretty good keyboard once you get used to it.

I actually type faster than on any previous device. I am looking forward to seeing how fast I get.:)

I am definitely starting to get better. I'm not as fast as I used to be on my qwerty phone, but I am getting htere. the one thing I think that will be a problem for me is that I used to be able to text while driving without looking too much. There is no way to pull that off here.

I'm ok with it. My accuracy is terrible but it almost always correctly guesses what I was trying to type. It's so much easier in landscape mode, though -- too bad that's not available while texting or emailnig.

Ditto, 6' tall and 205 though my thumbs are not too big. Once I realized that I naturally hit the keys to the left I got very fast. I have no device experience other that the smart texting that is present on the mid level phones in the Verizon line. So overall I am extremely pleased so far. The lack of tactile confirmation is not bothering me anymore either.
