I have to admit I was going to come back and chew on you a little till I reread your part about "our collective ridiculousness in the big picture" I could not agree more.
I was like why is this guy showing pictures of the iphone with hurt troops.

yeah i'm sorry about that. it just seems odd to be cheered for buying a gadget, you know? we're all ####ed because we didn't get instant activation, and while i admit it's frustrating, there's a hell of a lot more important things to get ####ed about, you know? not trying to preach, sorry if it came off that way.

i was just reacting to my guilt at getting all lusty over the pr0n posted here and at engadet. seeing the guy in that NYT article brought me back to earth a little.

but you could probably also make a case for me just being jealous i don't have one :P
