what's this all about? Sure it can be fixed in a firmware update but is this just another "minor / major" detail they forgot to include? Get it together Apple.
"Oakland resident Kyle Killion also gave an overall thumbs-up report on the iPhone he waited six hours to buy Friday, but the 29-year-old Web musician said he noticed some shortcomings, such as the absence of a comma or period key on the main touch screen used for typing. For the most part, however, he felt the iPhone met his expectations for performance and ease of use, including the quick and painless transfer of his phone number from his former cellular provider, T-Mobile, to AT&T."

You've been summarily anti-iPhone in all of your posts - almost zealously so.
The keyboard splits off punctuation to a second screen. It's not a software flaw, but a design decision. It's a pain in the neck, to be sure, but it's not a "software flaw."
Being so negative is so.... 1995.

sorry if my picking apart the iphone upsets you but I, like many others consider all aspects before dropping $600. If I were "anti-ipod" as you so candidly put it, then why would I waste my time researching every little detail? The fact of the matter is that I am on the fence. We can't all be diehard fanboys now can we?

It doesn't upset me. I made the purchase fully aware that there would be some limitations. What does bug me is the sensationalistic nature of your posts, and the inaccuracies.
I've been in the mobile business as an operational architect for a long time. I'm intrigued by the iPhone, and its novel approach to the interaction between user and phone. That hardly qualifies me for "fanboy" status.
As a further note, to say that I "candidly put [you]" as "anti-ipod" would indicate your concession that you are, indeed, nit-picking. ;)
I am just saying that there is a way to present the negatives without coming across as shrill. Less drama, more facts.

I don't really care for your opinion since you seemed to have thread jacked my post. Keep your bull#### to yourself I don't care what reasons you purchased the iphone for.

Well, you decided to post a attention-seeking topic. You sow what you reap.
Less emo, more facts.

wish I could, - I'd ask why he fell for the $600 iphone sham in the first place.
Pretty amusing how you say you are on the fence, yet I was just in another thread and came upon this statement. Just another whiney person on the "hate the iphone" bandwagon. Yet, you're here trolling around. Can't afford one huh?

oh wow, lets just go around and find all my comments and try to use them against me, insult me call me cheap, iphone hater whatever. The thing is I wasn't the one waiting in line to spend $600 the very first day a cute new little tech toy comes out. Pure fanboy material right there. I laugh out loud

I did not wait in line. I walked in the store, 5 minutes, in and out.
Your posts are not fact-based discussion points. They are inflammatory, rude, and troll-like. That's usually an indication of another agenda.

Didn't have to look for it. I happened to have been reading another thread and there is was. But its ok to be mad. I would be too if I just realized I was an idiot.
