hello everyone. just recently purchased a new Santa Fe, and would like to hook my ipod up to it.

i would like to keep the stock stereo, as i think the sound quality is fine, and got sick and tired of getting stereos stolen from previous vehicles, and carrying around faceplates and such.

i've been doing quite a bit of searching, and it would seem no real 3rd party options are available as of yet, i have no idea if the stereo has a CD changer port (have an email into the dealership, but since it's a holiday weekend up here in Canada, it'll be a couple of days before i hear back), but would suspect that it needs a 3rd part cable that hasn't been made yet to connect to it.

anyways, to my question. i'd like to hook my ipod directly to the stereo, does anyone have any experience or ideas? stereo has to stay stock, and would like to not have to chop up the dash with switches or docks. DO NOT want an itrip or the like, quality isn't that great. starting to warm up to in-line modulators, but if i go that route i would like it to be able to charge the ipod as well.

ideas, thoughts?

anyways, thanks in advance!

this will work in your vehicle, radios needs to have a CDC button or cd changer controls

http://www.oemautosound.com/pc-485-154-ipod-and-xm-satellite-for-hyundai-2000-2003-original-radios.aspx

you have to ask them for the same piece with out the xm tunner, is a lot cheaper
it shows up to 2003 but i found a 2006 radio with a CDC button
